Should All Drugs Be Legalized? Illegalized?

Question by Mr J: Should all Drugs be legalized? illegalized?
I am talking about all drugs. I am sure there are a lot of people who are going to advocate Marijuana legalization on here. Potheads: go chill out and smoke a bowl “maaan”, your not aloud in this conversation.
The truth: Are you high on THC right now? You need to look at both sides of the argument.

There are also many arguments against legalization.

1.

Legalization would increase the number of casual users which, in turn, would increase the number of drug abusers.
2.

MARIJUANAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa Marijuana?

Question by selina [vegan] [OBAMA<3]: MARIJUANAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa marijuana?
can you help edit my essay about mary jane?
ehh thanks

There are many unjust charges being made for drug arrests, specifically for marijuana. There are major subjects that should be brought up, some include, taxes, overcrowded prisons, drug wars, and the charges that vary from state to states. In my opinion, some drug charges should be lowered to a more reasonable sentence.

I Need Some Recent, Reliable Statistics; Care to Help?

Question by Amethyst: I need some recent, reliable statistics; care to help?
I would very much like these statistics from reliable, recent sources:
What percentage of drug abusers become addicted
What percentage of teenagers use illegal (NOT prescription) drugs
What amount of money the U.S. has spent on the war on drugs so far this year.
How many arrests out of 1000 (or 100 or 10; doesn’t really matter just out of a number) are drug-related i.e. possession, use, selling
How many people each year die from tobacco
How many people each year die from alcohol poisoning
How many people each year die from alcohol-induced car accidents
What percentage of illegal drug addicts relapse after admitting themselves to treatment
What percentage of convicts in prison on drug-related charges were addicted to drugs at the time of the crime
Please include all of your sources. These statistics should be at least as recent as 2005, and if possible more recent than that. Thank you to anyone who answers.
I have googled these to no end! If you are not going to give me the actual statistics, please don’t answer!

Answer by **Anti-PeTA**
Yes it is. 1. What are Suboxone and Subutex?

Subutex and Suboxone are medications approved for the treatment of opiate dependence. Both medicines contain the active ingredient, buprenorphine hydrochloride, which works to reduce the symptoms of opiate dependence.

2. Why did the FDA approve two medications?

Subutex contains only buprenorphine hydrochloride. This formulation was developed as the initial product. The second medication, Suboxone contains an additional ingredient called naloxone to guard against misuse.

Subutex is given during the first few days of treatment, while Suboxone is used during the maintenance phase of treatment.
