My Brother Has a Major Drug Problem, Does Anyone Know of a Good Treatment Center in Florida That Is Low Cost?

Question by rms2323: My brother has a major drug problem, Does anyone know of a good treatment center in Florida that is low cost?
My brother is 30 years old and has been an addict since he was 13. Over this time period I would say he’s collectively had about 2 years sobriety, I am 26 and a recovering addict for a little over 4 years now. My father passed away 2 years ago from methadone overdose. So I know the right things to do, I’ve been in plenty of rehabs. Here’s the problem, my Mom and my Sister-in-law are in complete denial and the worst enablers, and my brother is super slick and manipulative, so he gets whatever he wants. We own a family restaurant so we all work together and it’s to the point where my brothers actions are affecting our business. He’s been arrested twice in the last 6 months…once for hitting me (which my family sided with him…CRAZY…this is how in denial they are), and the second for numerous narcotic felony charges and possibly a gun charge (if his record is not clean of a felony he got 10 years ago). The drugs he’s been taking consist of aderrall, clonopin, HIGH STEROID ABUSE, blood pressure meds, some drug called molly, possibly bath salt, and now I think he’s back on opiates(roxys). He’s kind of a special case because of the steroid abuse. My family is now starting to agree with me that he needs help but we dont know where to begin. $ 10,000 we can afford, but anything over that is pushing it. I wish I could call Dr. Drew right now, but I cant so I need help. I live in Fort Myers, and the treatment centers here aren’t that great. PLEASE ANY HELP I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE…WE ARE AT OUR LAST STRAW

Any Drug Rehabs in San Dimas, California That Have Records of Celebrities Admitted Into the Facility?

Question by briana c: Any drug rehabs in San Dimas, California that have records of celebrities admitted into the facility?
I work for a gossip magazine and I’m currently researching for an article about Hollywood’s rehab patients. It will be very interesting to know what our celebrities went through during their stay in these treatment centers. I hope you can give me an answer as soon as possible.

Oh, that’s really an interesting topic, though I doubt it if officials of drug rehabs will give information about their patients. As you know, rehab patients, especially celebrities, want privacy and they want their records to be treated confidentially. But I have some links here which I think can help in your search.

Mental Healty Treatment Facility?

Question by barbaraissa: Mental Healty Treatment Facility?
Anyone know of a recovery center that deals with dual diagnosis but mostly the mental health part? Any that I find cost $ 30k+…….that’s enough to drive anyone crazy…sorry, bad joke!

I hear that the mental health care system here in Arizona is just about the worst. We’re willing to send our son (20) anywhere in the US if that place can actually help him but can’t find a place that’d be a great match for him. Dr’s have been trying for 2 years but so far, no balance for this terrific young man. Any suggestions?…………. no stupid replys please!!!!

How Am I Going to Find Substance Abuse Treatment Centers in Pennsville, New Jersey?

Question by camilla a: How am I going to find substance abuse treatment centers in Pennsville, New Jersey?
I’ve decided to do a research on various cases of prescription drug abuse. This is for a special project on a class of mine. I would like to talk to some patients who are afflicted with this kind of disorder, or the doctors who are dealing with patients suffering from prescription drug abuse.

Substance abuse treatment centers can be really stringent regarding the privacy of their patients so I think you’re going to have a hard time convincing the authorities to let you talk to them. I think you can interview the doctors, therapists, and counselors, though.

What Would Be a Good Drug Treatment Program for My Daughter?

Question by ciarra e: What would be a good drug treatment program for my daughter?
She’s just 19, and I was wondering what would be a good treatment program for her. She got hooked up on drugs because of her friends and I don’t want this to continue. She really needs to get herself treated as soon as possible. She knows this, and she too, wants to go into rehab already.

Research 12-step programs and 28 day in-patient programs in your area and just be there for her

If You Have Ever Volunteered at a Rehab Center What Kind of Things Did You Do?

Question by *Michelle*: If you have ever volunteered at a rehab center what kind of things did you do?
Or even if you haven’t can you tell me what kind of stuff they have you do when you volunteer at a rehabilitation center for drugs or alcohol?
Well i managed to look up information and they do have people who volunteer if you are qualified. You have to apply like you would for a regular job. They do things like teaching arts and crafts classes. There was a list but I’d have to dig it out. Thanks for your help though it is much appreciated.
