What Are the Stats for Drug and Alcohol Recovery? How Many Users Actually Stop?
Question by Rose: what are the stats for drug and alcohol recovery? How many users actually stop?
This question applies to addicts. How many drug addicts and alcoholics actually kick their habits? Let’s say 20 people go into treatment, how many of those 20 will get clean for a significant amount of time: 5 years or more?

Unfortunately the number is pretty low. Out of 20 I would say maybe 4-5, if that.

The only funding I ever had for a rehab was only because I graduated to the State of California…I was at CRC as an N# and a 6 month residential treatment program was mandatory. I had state funding for the 6 months and then I got a month’s funding for sober-living after that.
Any local residential programs I’ve been to, I had to pay monthly once they allowed me to get a job and I couldn’t get my certificate of completion until I had a zero balance. Also, if it’s court-ordered, it may be different depending on the laws where you live. I’m in San Diego…

We were asked to do a research about the different activities included in a alcoholic treatment program. I’m really interested in the project and I want to come up with the best report in our class.
