I read in psychology magazines that romantic love is nothing but a form of addiction so when you claim to fall under its spell, you activate the same receptors in the brain that are associated with drug abuse, narcissism and other obsessive-compulsive behavior.
By association, the person you’re in deep love with is just somehow able to trigger those chemical reactions and staying away from him/her for a long time, you’re actually able to cure yourself.
