Are there any websites a person can go to for ONLINE HELP for drug and/or alcohol addiction? SWIM wants to try rehab, but he wants to try it online. Do you know of any websites that he can go to that will help him via online? Thanks.

There are number of organizations which provide free online/toll-free phone help for drug or alcohol problems. Some depend on where you live, but if you’re just going to use online instead of phone, then it might not matter where you live except under certain circumstances. I had a list of the better known organizations, but I do not have access to it at the moment, so these are some websites I’ve found through Google:

My daughter, who’s 18, has fallen in with some meth users. She told me she tried it once but I think she’s using it regularly. She barely sleeps or eats, and she seems to have lost interest in grooming, school, etc. I have no power to keep her away from that crowd. She has no health insurance because she dropped out of college. Does anybody know if Michigan has a state-supported residential hospital for young adults where she can get treatment and be away from meth users? I don’t know how to remove her from the environment she is in, and I think that’s her only hope.

Republicans do not know anything about universal health care. all they know is what they learned on Fox, and from Limbaugh and Palin: death panels and that people will go to jail if they don’t get health insurance.

That is a link for a treatment facilities search engine. You can search for sliding fee facilities. All of the facilities on the search engine are licensed and certified.

My brother is a pot head and an alcoholic he has nothing, no drivers license, nothing he owns thousands in back child support and the worst part is that he is one of the most talented people I know he sings like Elvis, writes his own songs, is artistic, but his substance abuse has made him an angry hateful person. I don’t know how I can help him. Please I need advice.
