According to the Time headline last week, a new study finds that the abortion pill RU-486 is “safe.” The only drug approved by the FDA that is designed to end human life, rather than improve it, “doesn’t increase risks” said the Chicago Tribune headline.
These headlines take deception in journalism to a whole new level. During the last Congress, I served as counsel to the House subcommittee on drug policy that investigated the FDA’s approval of RU-486. Anyone who seriously examines the highly irregular approval process and the serious adverse events associated with this drug can only conclude that it poses a deadly danger to women and should be removed from the market.

I have hired a temp using an agency that I have worked with before. The temp does a supposedly wonderful job handling her duties, but I believe she is socially inept. I hear employees telling each other about how the temp reveals more information about herself than is appropriate in a professional setting. This, the third tale I’ve heard, has her admitting to another employee that she used to be a recovering drug addict, but now she smoked crack on Saturday. That is horrible! Should I can her and hope I could find another temp to do a good job, or should I just advise her to keep her mouth shut, not having to worry about training another person?

He has been admitted to a drug rehab program at Sheridan Correctional center in Illinois, he has no previous criminal record before this conviction for selling exctasy. now i have read up that for every 3 months of good behaviour in the prison he is awarded 45 good time days…. my question is . Does that mean those good time days are subtracted from his parole date? or how does that work , from what i think he might just spend one year in the correctional center.

I have been employed with a privately ownder nursing home for approx. three years. Recently my administrator and DON have created a new drug policy that states that if they have any reason to suspect drug use, they can search you and your personal belongings as well as you vehicle. Any refusal to comply will result in termination. I understand searching me and my bag, but I’m not comfortable with the fact that they can search my car just because someone says, “Oh yeah, Nikki smokes crack” (which i don’t, btw) I also don’t agree that they can change and modify this policy at any time without giving notice or obtaining new consent. If i fail to agree to this policy and don’t sign it, I will be terminated. Can someone tell me if they have the authority to do this three years after employment and if my personal rights are being violated?

I have a friend who lives in chicago and has a next door neighbor who recently lost his house and the people that were renting his house moved back in but they are constantly doing and selling drugs, use for prostitution and gang activity. She tried calling the police but only went to lock the upper floor and they still remain in the building. Besides the police is there anybody that she can call to put a STOP to this. She’s scared to even let her kids out to play.
