You don’t need a consultant.
The state will require the place be run by an experienced certified treatment professional. If you have that, you have your consultant.
They will not accept the credentials of a part time or temporary consultant sorry.

I Am Looking for a Job Now That I Am Out of a Drug and Alcohol Rehab. Should I Bring It Up During Interview?
Question by Matt S: I am looking for a job now that I am out of a drug and alcohol rehab. Should I bring it up during interview?
I got out of a drug and alcohol treatment center 2 months ago, after completing both a 28 day program and a 6 month program. I have been searching high and low for a job as a cook, and have been getting some interviews. I don’t know if I should tell em where I have been for the past 7 months? Being vauge about it obviously isn’t working for me. From what I know, they can’t discriminate against me for being in rehab. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how I should go about this? However, I am starting to get the feeling that honesty isn’t very popular these days, but I don’t wanna lie and be vauge anymore.
How Do I Tell My Daughter or Should I Tell Her?
Question by lidakamo: how do i tell my daughter or should i tell her?
about 12 years ago i packed my daughter up and left my then husband. we moved back to my home state. about a year after we left i found out he was hiv positive. we took a test (daughter & myself) and were negative. he’s not a good person. he’s been in drug rehab, jail, and now in and out of the hospital. he lives with his mother and treats her bad. i just don’t think he’s a good example for a father, and it’s my duty to protect her. she is now almost 14 years old, and always asks me about him, and why won’t i let her contact him. every time i’ve let him in her life he’s been nothing good. 1 year he came for x-mas, and left her on the porch by herself so he could sell packs of cigarettes to some construction workers across the street. my question is what should i do as far as telling her or not and how?
ok i get it i will tell her but, HOW?
no i’m not being selfish. he was the one that told me not to tell her. as for him being in jail she knew because when he wrote her they put a stamp on it stating it’s from a prisoner. i just feel it’s his place to tell her.
Can My Insurance Cover an Inpatient Addiction Program 100% ?
Question by khamla95: Can my insurance cover an inpatient addiction program 100% ?
I have Aetna insurance under my father, and last night i got ahold of a drug treatment facility to check into an inpatient rehab clinic for my prescription drug addiction. The woman gave me lots of info and took my insurance and called the insurance company to get an approval and when she called back today she said they will cover the 28-day inpatient program 100% with no expense to me, (The Holistic Addiction Treatment Center that is shown on shows like intervention and such…) she even said they would cover the flight to the center (It is in florida and I am located in Ohio where there are no covered treatment centers)
Where to Go for Pet Scan and Drug Abuse Recovery?
Question by Machi: Where to go for pet scan and drug abuse recovery?
I am a first generation immigrant and have no experience or any idea of how to get help for my 21 year old son’s drug and alcohol addiction. 3 months ago he came to me confessing everything: he had been abusing drugs for the past 3 and 1/2 years and that this past school year was the worst. Since then he’s given up everything and been sober. He had been using marijuana, cocaine, mdma, painkillers, alcohol, and cigarettes. Now he is very afraid of them and will never use them again. As much as I’m very glad he’s been sober and is willing to recover and go back to school, he has told me that he’s very scared that it might be too late. He’s been dealing with depression, insomnia, loss of concentration, memory problems (can’t read a book or watch a movie and remember the story days later), inability to communicate clearly what he wants to say in his mind, among other things. I have scheduled a meeting with a psychiatrist for him this week. He insists on getting a pet scan, but feels too anxious and guilty to get one from a neurologist at a regular hospital for he fears they will be judgmental. Is there anywhere to bring him to get a pet scan from a neurologist that understands what recovering “addicts” are going through and is able to tell us how much damage has been done and if there’s anything we can do to recover lost brain activity? Or do most neurologists that give pet scans for cancer treatments and other natural illnesses also deal with drug abusers? Or should we go to a drug addiction specialist and he refers us to a proper neurologist? I will ask the psychiatrist this as well, but just wanted to shoot my question on here for any additional advice. Thank you so much for answering and I very much appreciate it.
