What Is the Best Way to Handle Painful Corns on Toes?
Question by vaughgeran: What is the best way to handle painful corns on toes?
Best answer:
Answer by jjthinstrips
Corns and calluses can be long-term problems if you consistently wear shoes that do not fit properly. Even with good footwear, you may continue to have painful corns and calluses if there is some abnormality in your gait or foot structure that causes unusual stress on parts of your feet when you walk.
Prevention
In most cases, you can help to prevent corns and calluses by wearing shoes that fit properly. In particular, choose low-heeled, comfortable shoes that have enough space around the toes. Wear socks to cushion any areas of unusual rubbing or pressure, and use foot powder to reduce friction.
Is Anyone Out There on a Methadone Program and Tired of Being Jerked Around?
Question by kc: Is anyone out there on a methadone program and tired of being jerked around?
Are you on methadone? Tired of paying as much to be in “treatment” as you did on the streets? Tired of counselors who say “I can’t help you with that, my hands are tied?” Tired of the private clinic owners making tons of money off the suffering of others? Lets unite to stop this absurd practice of getting rich off someone’s illness. Stop them from making absurd rules and knowing we won’t unite to do anything about it!
If a Person Is Mentally Ill, Does He Have a Choice Whether or Not to Go to a Rehab?
Question by Vince M: If a Person is Mentally ill, does he have a choice whether or not to go to a rehab?
If a person is mentally ill, and is not capable of making correct decisions for himself, and refuses to go to the rehab or doctor or medication and examination, does he have that choice not to? Do authorities, or the parents or guardians have the full right to force him into a rehab or medication especially if the mentally ill person is causing damage, acting bizarre, and causing community disturbance?

How Can Someone Quit Heroine for Good?
Question by crankystar: How can someone quit heroine for good?
My sister was a heroine user for about 5 years. She is now taking a substitute called “Subutex”. But it seems that people who use the substitue drug are ‘stuck’ with it. How can someone truly let go of the drug?? I am aware that many rehab facilities are there to help people, but in France, like anywhere else I guess, it can be pretty expensive to enter a private facility. If you want to enter other ‘free’ facilities, there is a waiting list, and there is absolutely NO guarantee that you will be accepted for treatment. Can anyone suggest a step-by-step sort of program? Guidelines? Advice? A book dealing on a specific step-by-step program? Please do not tell me to send her to a rehab center. I am currently looking at a center that would be free of charge to her, but in case she is not accepted, I need to know what we could do to help her by ourselves. I thank all my fellow yahoo users in advance for any useful tips and help.
PS: I want my sister to get out of it, as much as she wants it. She is highly motivated.

How Do People Survive in Jail/Prison?
Question by days_o_work: How do people survive in Jail/Prison?
I was locked up in a Michigan Jail for about 13 hours one time, not even a full day, and it nearly drove me insane. Maybe I’m just “soft” but a month in there would have driven me nuts. How do people survive in there.
Thanks for the answers.. My trip thru hell started as an arrest for felony assault which I later pleaded down to misdemeanor aggrivated assault. I basically blew my temper one day at a random stranger and apparently scared the bejesus out of him, so he promptly told the police. There was no physical contact or anything but they still ran me thru as a felony.
