I am currently going through a tough situation, and would appreciate any support or kind words.
My Grandfather passed away last week. He served as my Father my entire life, and was a great man. He was always smiling, and I never saw him mad. I have been dealing with the grief from that situation, along with my Mom.

like more detox centers for alcoholics, yet will spend billions on useless war in iraq?don’t they realize making investement in human life will increase!!? productivity in nation, saving billions in all industries, including medical and judicial system?

Why should so many more tax dollars go toward folks who make the conscious decision to start drinking and/or doing drugs? Addicts should be held accountable for their own choices…and not saddle the govt with their problems any more than they already have.

Hi, I’ve been recently noticing a lot of problems in my neighborhood. I used to find a page where to report drug traffic along with activity and what’s going on anonymously in Chicago/IL but I haven’t found anything. I tried the numbers on the police official sites and doesn’t seem active. I would like to know if there is anyplace where I can report the activity going on so that the police can come and take a look. I don’t want the activity to spread nor cause any increase in violence or gang activity so I at least want to help put an end to it before it spreads further. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Paraphernalia Charge in Illinois?

Me and my friend are parked in a car, her car, Literally just got to our destination; the park. windows up. no smoke. cop just comes out of nowhere and commands us to roll down the windows, he suspects were smoking marijuana. so he he searches us. he find paraphernalia, BY me in the car (her car), but not on my person (even though it was mine), so i get arrested for paraphernalia. My friend, had paraphernalia AND pot that was found in her purse, i was unaware of this. now, if in court, can i get away with and say my paraphernalia was actually hers since it was in her car, and not on my person, will she get two charges of paraphernalia? will it make it worse for her? or will they just put it in the same charge she already has? i know it sounds shitty, not trying to be an ass, but if its not going to effect her and shes screwed anyway why cant one of us get out of it?
